The Avalon® System ushers in a new age of functionality, comfort and ergonomics. Its two major pieces, the Avalon Arm Chair and Avalon Step Barrel, are original concepts by world-renowned teacher Rael Isacowitz, developed in collaboration with Balanced Body.
These extraordinary redesigns provide 100% of the functionality of Joseph Pilates’ original Arm Chair and Spine Corrector, with innovative additions that vastly increase comfort and functionality.

Avalon® Arm Chair
The Avalon® Arm Chair is a complete redesign of the original, and vastly increases the number of exercise options.
It provides 100% of the functionality of Joseph Pilates’ Arm Chair, plus many of the exercise possibilities of the Trapeze Table (Cadillac) and Ladder Barrel.
The optional Avalon Box, Avalon Ladder and Accessory Package further expand the versatility of this apparatus.

Avalon® Step Barrel
The new Avalon® Step Barrel is a complete redesign of Joseph Pilates’ original Spine Corrector. It provides 100% of the functionality of Joseph Pilates’ Spine Corrector, plus the groundbreaking addition of a full spring system for resistance-based repertoire.
The Avalon Step Barrel can be purchased as a stand-alone product, or with an optional Accessory Package.
