Balanced Body® introduces the Allegro Tower of Power® for profitable Pilates programming

Sacramento, Calif. - May 17, 2004

Balanced Body, the world's largest manufacturer of Pilates equipment, has unveiled its new Allegro Tower of Power®, a complete reformer, half-trapeze and mat system that retrofits the Allegro® Reformer. The Tower of Power expands the versatility of the Allegro, allowing clubs to increase the scope of their Pilates programs.

“The Allegro Tower of Power offers a cost-effective way for clubs to maximize the profitability of their Pilates programs,” said Ken Endelman, Balanced Body's founder and chief executive officer. “Instead of just offering Pilates reformer classes, clubs can now offer a combination of reformer and half-trapeze work, all in the compact footprint of an Allegro. With more programming options, clubs have more opportunity to generate revenue.”

Balanced Body has collaborated with its education partners to offer Pilates programming unique to the Allegro Tower of Power. “The new programming combines the moving reformer carriage with the stable half-trapeze, creating a new category of Pilates exercises for group exercise and personal training,” said Endelman.

The Allegro Tower of Power can be ordered as a complete system, which includes an Allegro Reformer at 14" personal training height, a tower with detachable springs and bars, and a drop-in mat. The Tower can also be retrofitted to existing Allegros. The system gives clubs the flexibility to start their Pilates programs with Allegros only, then add Towers as their programs grow. “We have sold more than 8,000 Allegros to date,” says Endelman, “and all of them can be retrofitted with the Tower.”

Balanced Body's Allegro Tower of Power retails for $3,455 for the complete 14-inch Allegro Reformer, Tower and mat conversion system, $995 for the Tower and mat conversion, and $945 for the Tower only.

Balanced Body offers Allegro Tower of Power training for fitness professionals through its educational partners. Please contact the company for more information at 1-800-PILATES.
