Continuing Education Credits
What are Continuing Education Credits (CECs)?
Continuing Education Credits (CECs or CEUs) are required by the Pilates Method Alliance and most Pilates, personal training and group exercise certification programs in order to renew your membership or your status as a certified instructor. Each organization sets its own requirements for the number of Continuing Education Credits (CECs or CEUs) needed annually or bi-annually. Information on the number of Credits required can be obtained from the organization itself.
What organizations does Pilates on Tour® offer continuing education credit for?
Pilates on Tour® applies for Continuing Education Credit (CECs or CEUs) from:
- Pilates Method Alliance (PMA)
- American Council on Exercise (ACE)
- National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
- Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFFA)
- American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
Each organization has different criteria for granting continuing education credits so each Pilates on Tour event will offer some courses for credit from each organization. Please check the web site of the individual event for specific information about what courses are covered.
How do I get credit?
Certificates of completion will be available at the end of each class for you to pick up. When your renewal date comes up, copy the certificate and send it to your certifying or professional organization to document the number of credits you received.
What if I forgot to get a certificate at the class?
If you forgot to pick up a certificate of completion at the class, please e-mail email@example.com with a copy of your registration confirmation and your address and we will send a copy of the certificate to you.
