Single Leg Squat Facing Anchor

PURPOSE
» Increase power and strength in the legs.
» Improve balance and coordination.

STARTING POSITION
Stand facing the anchor and step back until the hands are at chest height. Lift one foot off the floor.

MOVEMENT SEQUENCE
Bend the knee of the weight bearing leg and lower into a single leg squat. Reach the free leg forward as the body lowers.

MAKE IT HARDER
Rely less on the ropes to perform the squat.

MAKE IT EASIER
Bend the knee of the free leg, lean back on the ropes and use the ropes to assist as the body lowers into the squat.
