Nearing our sixth decade, Balanced Body is the global leader in Pilates equipment and education. We were the first to substantially innovate Joseph Pilates’ equipment and today hold 28 US patents and numerous foreign patents.
Our team of over 150 woodworkers, metal finishers, seamstresses, upholsterers, and assembly, build Balanced Body equipment in our Sacramento headquarters. It is here we can produce equipment that meets the exacting standards and requirements of the movement community. Most of our suppliers are also based in the US — from premium, vinyl to custom molded foam to those smooth rails on our Reformers.
We partner with the world’s leading Pilates and movement educators. Our mission is to provide the highest quality education that is stimulating, personal and deeply rooted in the art and science of movement. Our training modules are designed to meet your specific goals, budget, and timeline.
We created our “green” headquarters in 2014— a 100,000 sq. foot building with 1,000 solar panels, skylights, climate-controlling fans, and air filtration system. We only use FSC-certified woods. We are actively eliminating non-essential packaging and only using recyclable materials. We were awarded California’s Waste Reduction Award for diverting waste from landfills.
