Learn the CoreAlign and its versatility in strengthening, stretching, conditioning and functional movement in clients of all abilities

These courses teach movement professionals including Pilates instructors, physical therapists, and athletic trainers the CoreAlign method for musculoskeletal rehabilitation, performance enhancement and functional performance in everyday life.

CONSISTS OF TWO COURSES

CoreAlign 1: Foundations

Introductory and Intermediate CoreAlign exercises

The course includes CoreAlign method theory and 60+ foundation exercises to build functional movement skills. Areas of focus are trunk integration, upper body strength and balance, lower body strength, power, gait and dynamic flexibility. Progressions and regressions for all ability levels. Specific modifications and precautions for special populations. Equipment set up, maintenance and safety.

CoreAlign 2: Progressions

Intermediate / Advanced Exercises

This course builds on the foundation of CoreAlign 1 with advanced progressions and additional movement categories, training options and teaching techniques. We address a range of training goals from core stabilization to integrated rotation, complex movement patterns and the introduction of CoreAlign Rotator Discs.

• 60+ foundation exercises designed to build functional movement skills applicable to daily life and athletic pursuits.
• Exercises in standing, plank, all fours and supine positions.
• Specific exercise tracks to focus on Trunk Integration, Upper Body Strength and Balance, Lower Body Strength and Power, Gait and Dynamic Flexibility.
• Progressions and regressions to address clients at different levels of ability.
• Specific modifications and precautions for working with clients with injuries and special populations.
• Movement Principles to make your training more efficient, effective and safe.
• CoreAlign equipment set up, maintenance and safety.

CoreAlign 2: Progressions
Includes

CoreAlign 2: Progressions

• How to improve functional movement patterns for clients at any level of ability from rehab patients to professional athletes.
• Progressions of plank and standing exercises to address a range of training goals from core stabilization to creating integrated rotation for throwing sports.
• Training options using rotator discs, variable directions of resistance and moments of suspension.
• Exercises to challenge balance, coordination and complex movement patterns to prepare clients for everyday activities.

Requirements for
Completion

• Complete CoreAlign 1 Foundations or CoreAlign 2 Progressions Course.
• 6 months or more of practice and teaching.

Balanced Body always seeks to add progressive, creative, and dynamic teachers to its impressive list of Balanced Body Educator. To become a Balanced Body Educator there are high standards that must be met and a need for a Balanced Body Educator in your area. If you are interested in becoming a Balanced Body Educator, please contact us.

Dress comfortably in clothes to move and exercise in. Footwear (for example, a lightweight trainer) is recommended.

Each of the modules requires successfully completing an in-class written test and a practical teaching presentation. To become a fully-qualified CoreAlign instructor, you will need to successfully complete all the modules, 14 CoreAlign observation hours, 40 CoreAlign personal sessions and 120 student teaching hours. The test itself consists of both written and practical sections. The tests are scheduled and offered at our Authorized Training Centers and can be found on our Education Finder.
